Trying this again.....I have been Aunt Donna for 7 Years!

My niece Lauren turned 7 today. That is unbelievable to me. That means I have officially been an Aunt for 7 years! Yeah Me! The last couple of months have been very special to me with my niece. (I look forward to Cassidy getting old enough for me to interact with her more.) Lauren and I have been playing Animal Crossing on the Wii together since mid-January. When I got her parents to set it up for her. It has been full of great memories. We can talk to each other through Wii Speak and play the game. Every Saturday Morning she calls me at 7:00 in the morning and we play for about an hour. I have become the Stebbins built in babysitter. Leslie and John love this because it allows them to sleep in a little longer, while I am babysitting from Raleigh. One day I heard Leslie in the background telling them they had to share and their Dad was still upstairs sleeping so not to wake him. She was going to Church.....and not taking the kids, She really did leave me to babysit and break up arguements via the Wii Speak. Anyway....we have been having fun with that and I am thankful she still thinks I am cool. She was going to call me at 6:00 this morning because it is her Birthday to play with her...I told her I would since it was her birthday and work would just have to understand that I would be late. She was so cute when she called at 7:30 and said " I don't know why I keep sleeping so late Aunt Donna...I just woke up" Isn't that cute....Time Change affects all of us small or big.
Anyway! When Lauren gets sick of me maybe I will be a little better at this blogging thing....until then I am going to soak it up while I am still cool in her book. I will try to squeeze in sometime though. Yes.....I am being controlled by a 7 year old!
