I couldn't write anything better in what is said below from her caring bridge site. Please keep The Stamper Family and Dave Driggers her fiance and his family in your prayers. As I know she is in a better place and she will be with us in our hearts forever.
Well, Melissa has moved on to heaven. Although we are very sad she is gone we are also very happy that she is no longer suffering and gasping for the air we take for granted. We are excited that she is with Jesus and family and friends that are happy to see her again. I am sure heaven is a better place right now because of her presence!
She went very peacefully and waited until all of the family was in the room with her to go. It was like she was hanging on for us to get there. She opened her eyes to see us before she decided to leave as if she was saying goodbye.
Jesus has one more angel today and He has a beautiful one! He decided that He needed her at 7:55 this morning.
We cannot thank everyone enough for all your support during Melissa’s journey. Your prayers and kindness have been truly overwhelming. We are sorry that her journey has ended this way……..
P.S. I will update everyone on the arrangements as soon as possible. The way it looks now is the visitation will be Friday night and the funeral will be Saturday afternoon. Please check back for updated information because the plans are not final…..
